Boxing For Fitness One-On-One
Personal boxing instructional workouts for men and women of all ages, shapes, and sizes in a fun and friendly environment. Our highly skilled and experienced trainers will show you how to achieve the confidence, athleticism and agility of a boxer without the risk of injury from getting hit.
Not only will you learn tricks of the trade from competitive boxers, at Lexington Avenue Gym you’ll have access to state of the art equipment, including an authentic full-size Boxing Ring.
You will have a great time as our trainers motivate you through intense sets of hitting pads, conditioning exercises and core work to get in to fighting shape.
Kids Boxing One-On-One or Partner
When we said ‘all ages,’ we meant it! Boxing-For-Fitness is a fun and effective way for kids to develop the confidence, athleticism, and self-awareness they need to grow up happy, healthy, and safe. Similar to adults, we offer one-on-one and small group sessions.
Boxing For Fitness Classes
Wrap your hands and put on boxing gloves for a fun, full body workout that will have you boxing like a pro. Don’t worry, you don’t get hit – you just get to hit bags and pads under the guidance of a trained professional.
Professional trainers will teach you the proper boxing techniques including the jab, cross, and hook. You’ll follow your trainer through one to three minute fitness rounds designed to provide overall total body strength and endurance challenges that will take your body from flab to fit. The workouts vary every day but generally end with 15 minutes abdominal, core and strength training using medicine balls and your own body weight for resistance. You choose how hard or light you hit this workout – either way you’re sure to burn calories and have fun.
KICK BOXING BAG CLASS
The kickboxing workout incorporates kicking with punching for a dynamic exercise routine. Heavy bags are provided as well as wraps and gloves. This workout begins with a warmup and stretch to prepare your body for kicking and striking the heavy bag.
Once your body is warmed up, your professional kick-boxing instructor will teach you the fundamentals from front kicks to roundhouses to back kicks, plus jab, cross and hook punching techniques. Your legs and arms will tone and strengthen with each punch and kick.
Cardio endurance is challenged with working rest periods. And innovative weight loss exercises incorporate medicine balls and your natural body weight resistance with burpees, leg lifts, yoga planks and more. With each hour-long kickboxing workout, the pounds and inches will melt away fast.
