Percy Thomas Graduated Fox Lane high school in 1982. Went into the job market after high school working at various local establishments. Started training in Wing Chun Kung Fu under Sifu Tony Watts around 1984. Became an instructor in 1989. Moved to Rochester NY in 1991. Attended and graduated from Monroe Community College. In 1995 with an associate degree in commercial illustration. Started and was president of the Budo martial arts club while attending M.C.C. Also started taking capoeira at Brockport University under Stephan Coram. In 1996 started training in the Filipino martial art Pekiti Tersia Kali under Kuya Doug Marcaida. Moved back to Mount Kisco NY in 1997 Started training with the S.W.A.M. martial arts academy founded by Sijo Abdul mutakabbir. Attained a fourth-degree black belt at S.W.A.M. academy. Taught cardio-kickboxing at Club Fit in Briarcliff NY and Yorktown NY from 1997 until 2007. Also taught cardio-kickboxing and cardio-capoeira at Saw Mill Club in Mount Kisco and various other gyms around Westchester NY. Acquired an ACE personal trainer certification in 2006 and started working as a personal trainer at The Lexington Ave Gym. Personal trainer focus was on functional training, boxing, martial arts and flexibility. Received a orange/blue belt in capoeira under Mestre Ary “Aryana” Lima. Began training again with Doug Marcaida and is currently an instructor teaching the Filipino style Marcaida Kali system. Adopted the vegan lifestyle in 2015.
Is currently a certified instructor for Rock Steady Boxing program in Mount Kisco which helps people in the Parkinson’s community with health and wellness. Currently applying mastery of martial arts, flexibility and stretching to the community in and around Westchester and the clients at Lexington Avenue Gym.
