Spring it is almost here, and we are ready to start with our Spring Fitness Training. Springtime is the nation’s most-loved season of the year. We can finally put the heavy coats away and look forward to the warmer weather, wildlife, and longer days. Despite the common allergies that this season brings, starting a spring fitness training it is a most. Maybe start by doing some spring cleaning around the house or gardening to get your body warm up into something bigger, better and healthier. Spring is favored by 27% of Americans, with summer (26%) and fall (25%) shortly behind.
Does My Routine Need To Change?
I guess the short answer is not. However, as the weather changes, you will feel more up to doing more. Specially if you have been doing the same routine for a while. Experts, recommend adding or modifying your workout routine at least every 4-6 weeks. If you are used to going to a fitness center, having longer days, may push you up to spend a little more time working out. And if you are used to running, hiking, or just walking; the warmer weather will definitely boost your energy to spend more time outdoors. As many studies have shown, some daily exposure to sun light, improves your overall vitamin D. So why not go outside and smell the roses? but first, please make sure you put some sun protection on.
Spring Back Into Shape
Having Spring Fitness Training will definitely get you more results than your winter workout. Why? because with the longer days, you will have more time to do cardio, more stretching exercises like yoga or Pilates, and you will most likely be adding other activities like swimming, hiking or playing tennis. If you are not the heavy lifting or athletic type, we are sure that during the spring and summer times, you will be more up to spending time at the beach or at the pool. And those activities will burn extra calories that you could not burn during the winter season.
What About Some Training Groups?
You don’t have to exercise alone. If you are the social type, spring time will bring you the chance to meet different training groups outdoors. Studies show, that when we have a partner that shares our goals or help us cope on our low days. We, are most likely to reach the results that we were hoping for. Having a friend, relative, or a personal trainer by your side, will get you motivated and help you stay on track.
