Depending on your level of expertise, each session can bring different movements and different energy. Lexington Avenue gym is a proud partner of Rock Steady Boxing. An organization that works with people that suffers Parkinson’s disease.
How Long Are The Sessions?
Most classes last 30 minutes, but they can go longer depending on your availability. With our busy lifestyle, we understand that sometimes making time to exercise could be a challenge, therefore, we try to pack a punch. Our sessions are long enough to get a hardcore workout but short enough that you can still have some time for other activities. This is why it is essential to find a location close enough for your commute. You don’t want to be stuck in traffic or tired or driving before you get to your boxing gym. At Lex Ave, you will find convenient parking and easy access if you decide to walk or break a sweat running before your class.
Do I Need To Work Out Every Day?
The answer is no. We understand that times have changed, and our jam-packed lives sometimes don’t leave room for too much. However, most of the sessions begin with a jump rope warm up, and this is something that you could easy do at home, in the morning before you start your day. You can also practice some of the self-defense combination moves, without having to wear your boxing gloves. The goal is always to accomplish HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) in one session, but if you do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, you can be more prepared for your boxing class.
